New Mercy Member! 3/2026
Hi friends! We are excited to announce that the amazing Dan Weaver will be the new drummer for Mercy! We are super excited to be joined with Dan in our musical family. Dan has, for many years been the main person we would call on whenever our former drummer, Denny Carmassi was unavailable for gigs. We always looked at him as a member of the group even then. He's not just a professional and accomplished drummer, he's also a wonderful human being! We are honored that he's accepted our offer to join Mercy!

First off, we have a major change in our line up to announce. After 15 years in our band the legendary Denny Carmassi has decided to retire. We have been so blessed to have him holding down the groove for us for so long! Some of us grew up listening to him with Montrose, Gamma, Heart, Coverdale Page and some others. He has been such a strong player in this group and we've been honored to perform with him. The biggest thing though is getting to know him and his lovely wife, Lori. They are real and genuine people who are family to us now. Denny is one of the most humble and considerate guys. He's a true friend! And yes, he's a MONSTER drummer! Having him on drums caused all of us to play at a much higher level than we ever did before. He helped us become better musicians and a better band. We will miss him on stage, but thankfully he and Lori will still be in our lives as we just relax and hang out. Also, we are currently in the process of re-recording the title cut from our 2014 album, "Bad Habit". We hope to release it sometime in April, so you'll be able to hear Denny on drums one more time with us when it comes out. We'll keep you posted!
We will be announcing our new drummer soon, so please stay in touch! We're excited about the upcoming year. We've been learning a bunch of new material. Some covers and some new originals. We are looking forward to performing them for you!
